Spirit of Entrepreneurship Event

The yearly Spirit of Entrepreneurship Event organised by the Innovation in Business Centre (IiBC) will take place on Thurs 30th Sept from 6pm-8.30pm at GMIT Castlebar.
From 6pm the general public are invited to come and view a showcase of IiBC client companies. This will enable those companies to showcase their offerings and will allow you to speak directly to these new start up companies.

Two successful entrepreneurs, Johnathon Ruane and Leonard Moran will speak about their experiences of setting up a business. Both will share their experiences of establishing and running a business, including the many challenges and lessons learned along the way.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be provided from 6pm. Booking is advisable as places are limited. Register your attendance either by e-mail iibccastlebar@gmit.ie or telephone: 094-9043198.

WIN Session - August 27th...

Adele O Meallaigh from Galway Executive Skillnet and Dee Timoney from ITAG Skillnet will be our guest speakers for our session on Friday 27th August.

Both Adele and Dee have kindly agreed to come along on Friday and talk to us about the upcoming courses which their Skillnets will be offering over the next number of months.

These courses will be free for job seekers and will be available in September / October.

Next Session: The Elevator Pitch

I have been asked by a number of people to run the Elevator Pitch  session again. I will run this on Friday, August 13th. This will be a chance for you to learn how to develop, perfect and practice your pitch. I will also talk about the role of Communication and how we need to understand this when developing our personal elevator pitch.
