Devane Careers - “putting your best foot forward”

Marie Devane is about to officially launch her business “Devane Careers” based in the heart of the picturesque village of Monivea. Marie says there is a need particularly for the provision of career guidance counselling, and Interview Preparation Techniques in the current market, and individuals must work harder at “putting their best foot forward” in order to succeed.

Having spent over twenty years in the field of Human Resources at Medtronic Vascular Galway, Marie has gained extensive experience both in interviewing people and in people development.

So, whether you’re studying for that exam, preparing for that interview, seeking that development opportunity, working towards that promotion, changing career, Marie will help, encourage and provide you with the techniques to put your best foot forward.

Marie says: “I am about giving you the tools and the techniques to accompany your talents and thus enable you to perform to your best. I am a firm believer in the power of self confidence and therefore will work with you to develop your confidence and belief in yourself”

Marie enables individuals to look within, and through very interactive sessions discovers talents and strengths to work with. She says once they are discovered, its then a matter of weaving them into your curriculum vitae, your interview preparation or indeed your College Programme choice.

Marie holds a Masters in Human Resource Leadership and has been awarded certificates in competence in Psychological Testing with the British Psychological Society. She is also a Chartered Member of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Marie is very involved in the local Community. She feels she continues to learn more about the developmental needs of people by working along side them in a variety of Community based projects. She plays a key role in the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancing Club, she is the PRO person in The Monivea Market Committee, and is a Qualified Leader at the Monivea Foroige (For Young) Club.

Marie is delighted to provide this service from Marian House in the village of Monivea. She says “the environment here has a natural energy about it, while at the same time is peaceful and relaxing”.

The Official Opening of Devane Careers will take place at Marian House, Monivea Village, on Friday October 1st 2010 at 7.00pm and all are welcome.

Senator Fidelma Healy Eames, spokesperson for Education and Science, will perform the official opening.
